This roadmap has no fixed dates. Priorities will shift based on community feedback, safeguarding needs, and what delivers the most value during beta and beyond. What you see here is our direction of travel, not a promise of delivery order.
Safeguarding and trust
Digital identity verification
We plan to introduce optional digital identity checks through trusted providers (such as Yoti-style verification), using a secure face scan to confirm you are aged 18 or over. This strengthens safeguarding, reduces misuse, and builds confidence for families connecting with new people online.
Stronger moderation and review
We will continue improving reporting tools, content review workflows, and account restrictions so the community stays a safe place for peer support, not a free-for-all.
Smarter connections
Smarter profile matching
Matching today is based on preferences you control. Over time, we want to add smarter suggestions that learn from your profile and Noticeboard activity (topics you engage with, types of support you seek or offer) to surface more relevant families and conversations.
You stay in control: suggestions guide discovery; they do not replace your choices or share hidden profiling for advertising.
Community and local life
Venues
We are building a Venues section for places that genuinely welcome SEN families: inclusive activities, therapists, tutors, accessible days out, and local services. Listings will be clear, filterable, and honest about sponsorship where applicable. See our Venues preview on Features.
Noticeboard images
We plan to allow images on Noticeboard posts, with moderation and approval before content goes live, so visual posts stay useful and safe.
Maps and event locations
For events, meet-ups, and local recommendations, we want map integration that pins specific places, such as leisure centres, coffee shops, parks, and community venues, rather than only broad area labels around the UK. Posts will show clear location details with one-tap links to open directions in Google Maps or Apple Maps, depending on your device.

Ongoing improvements so the app and website work well with screen readers, larger text, reduced motion, and diverse access needs.
Richer Noticeboard tools
Saved posts, better filters, and clearer audience controls when you want to reach a local or wider community.
Connection insights (privacy-first)
Optional prompts when new families nearby share similar circumstances, without exposing private child details.
Resources and signposting
Expanded Support tab content, curated pathways to trusted advice, and clearer links between peer chat and professional help (without replacing either).
Community guidelines evolution
Clear, living standards co-shaped with beta families so expectations stay practical and kind.
Notification improvements
Smarter alerts for matches, messages, and local events you have chosen to follow, with easy mute controls.
