The Village tab helps parents, guardians, and carers discover others in similar circumstances, near you or further afield. Matching uses only what you choose to share, not hidden behavioural profiling.

Benefits of finding people with similar needs:

• Talk to someone who understands day-to-day SEN parenting without lengthy explanations.
• Filter by location and SEN context so matches feel relevant.
• Build confidence before you message with a simple, swipe based discovery flow.
• Pause discovery from privacy settings whenever you need a break.
• Keep child and health details private until you choose what to share.

Matching and messaging stay free. Credits are not required to match, chat, or maintain connections.

Connect brings messaging into one place so you can stay in touch with families you have matched with.

• Private conversations with people you have chosen to connect with.
• Notifications when new villagers or unread messages are waiting.
• Report and block tools if something does not feel right.
• No credit cost for core messaging.

Organisation accounts welcome charities, schools, therapy services, and other groups that support SEN families.

What organisation accounts can do:

• Post on the Noticeboard to share events, sessions, advice, fundraisers, and local support.
• Reach families beyond one to one matching with posts in the community feed.
• Appear as an organisation profile so families know who the post is from.
• Be listed in Support where relevant.

What stays separate: organisation accounts do not appear in Village matching. Peer discovery remains for parents and carers.

The Noticeboard is for posts that matter beyond one to one chat: local tips, events, recommendations, or community questions. Registered parents, carers, and organisation accounts can read notices once they have joined. Publishing uses optional credits. Browsing is free for registered members.

What the Noticeboard helps you do:

• Share time sensitive local information with carers in your area or chosen communities.
• Ask for recommendations other parents have already road tested.
• Highlight inclusive events, support sessions, or meet ups that welcome SEN families.
• Use Community Equipment Exchange to share information about donating, passing on, or seeking SEN related equipment (not a shop or marketplace).
• Add an optional poster image or PDF to a notice, reviewed before it goes live.
• Save notices you want to revisit with in app bookmarks.

New members may receive welcome credits when they join. You can buy more in Settings when you need them. Partner charities and organisations may receive discounted or free credits where partnerships are in place.

Venues helps you discover local businesses and organisations that welcome and support families with SEN children, from sensory hubs and soft play to therapists, tutors, and accessible days out.

What Venues helps you do:

• Browse trusted local venues near you with clear details about what they offer SEN families.
• Filter by type, distance, and practical tags such as sensory-friendly, sibling-friendly, or wheelchair accessible.
• See ages, access notes, descriptions, and links to websites or social pages up front.
• Save venues you want to revisit and share useful finds with your village.
• Spot listings submitted by villagers or partners as the directory grows.

The Support tab sits alongside peer connections so practical help is never far away. Resources are organised around SEN types relevant to your family, with charities and organisations you can save, share, and return to.

• Filter to see Supporter (partner) organisations we work with and promote in the app.
• Recognise trusted partners by their organisation logos in the Support directory.
